On this second anniversary of the earthquake that shook Haiti on January 12, 2010, we would like to express anew our solidarity with the Haitian people, whose suffering and misery were aggravated by this tragedy.

We would also like to congratulate the numerous contributions made by Canadians, both financially and by personal involvement, to the immediate assistance and reconstruction efforts. 

We believe that Canada and Canadians, including those of Haitian origin, should continue to play an important role in the reconstruction and economic expansion of Haiti, while following a sustainable development model and prioritizing the interests of  the Haitian people.
